In a clinical study, individuals with grade 3 acne conditions were inducted into a study. Subjects were supplied two samples; K-8121 (Oligopeptide-10) and K-7828 (Benzoyl Peroxide) with instructions to use one sample for each side of their face morning and night after cleansing for 8 weeks. The results are shown below.

Clinical trial results

K-8121 (Oligopeptide-10) was superior at reducing acne symptoms at each evaluation. K-8121 was found to reduce acne symptoms more rapidly than K-7828 and with less irritation. The irritation levels in K-7828 (Benzoyl Peroxide) either remained unchanged or increased for some patients in the first 7 days and statistically significant results were not observed for K-7828 until day 21 compared to K-8121, with only 3 days to show statistically significant results.
